*Color coordination lends harmony to your portrait
*Busy, bright colors can be very distracting
*Play clothes may look cute but traditional clothes stand the test of time
*Shoes are often overlooked, remember to fully coordinate from head to toe
*Consider the location where the portrait will be displayed and work with that color scheme
 

An example of how color coordination can enhance your children's or family's  portrait...

 

Some suggestions for a family or children to wear would be...

  • JEANS with white, black, blue, red, dark green shirts or turtlenecks

  • White shirts or turtlenecks with matching fleece vests

  • DENIM OVERALLS with white shirts and/or no shirts (boys)       

  • KHAKIS with brown sweaters, white, cream or denim shirts

  • BLACK pants with matching flannel shirts or denim shirts

  • ALL WHITE OR ALL CREAM  (Very high key)

  • ALL BLACK  (Very formal and dramatic)

  • AVOID WHITE TIGHTS ON GIRLS WEARING DARK COLORED DRESSES AND BLACK SHOES! BLACK TIGHTS PHOTOGRAPH MUCH BETTER.
